For my project i've started with lots of different things because i didn't have any specific things i wanted to work on.

I've realise that the perception of creepy, scary stuff it's a bit subjective. Something that is not scary to me is disgusting to someone else. So i quickly researched the most common and unusual fears and ended up with interest results.

I quickly painted the most common fears just because i wanted to use paints and "broke the ice with them" since is a medium that i wanted to start using but i was quite scared at first.

Secondly, i have tried swapping cute and creepy looks, turning Vanellope from the movie Wreck it Ralph evil and Jack Skellington from Nightmare from Christmas 'normal', It's not that scary seen the inverted looks but it's a bit weird since it's not what you would normally think.

Thirdly, since I like painting with watercolours, I've tried to change just the colours to see if that would make any difference to the look of the subject, which it did but with watercolours you can't really have very dark colours.

I wanted to try and use acrylics but i didn't really know how to use them, so I thought to water them down to make them similar to watercolours and start from that.

I've tried paint dark colour first and then put the colours on top and vice versa, I've tried painting on a white and a black background, on paper and on canvas.

I was pretty pleased with the last painting of a woman portrait, I like how it looks like watercolours but it's all acrylic, I like the contrast with the more transparent colours and the opaque black, and also the dripping look.

Because I have a studio space, now I have the room to do big works, so I painted a big canvas white and I'll try the same effect on a bigger scale.

Beside all of this I've also played with screen printing and coffee. I like the effect of coffee sprayed on canvas, of the granules on wet areas, and also I've added salt to create some effects. The only thing is that both coffee and salt stick to the canvas so you'll have some texture. I thought it was a good background pattern so I painted a angry face on it.

Finally, I've painted a big canvas. I wanted to put together all the works in one big piece for the first assessment. I've used black ink, coffee and acrylics.

No specific story behind the composition, I want the viewer to come up with their own interpretation.
