First year university recap

Probably this will be more useful to me than it is for you but I've decided that I'll make a post to keep track of the work from university just to have a record of the things i did in case I'll need them in the future.

Semester 1

Drawing project

A. Pick an object (preferably something you can hold in your hand), draw it 100 times on A5 paper.

B. Take this 100 drawing and do something else.

Painting project

A. Choose an object, a location and a figure. Do six A3 study drawings and six A3 study paintings.

B. Build a stretcher, stretch canvas (46"x36" - 116x91 cm).

C. Make a painting with the subjects in point A together using acrylics.

Sculpture project

A. Using found object build a sculpture and a plinth.

- inspired by Jeffrey Dennis's Ringbinder (clingfilm box, paper cup, tissue, wood, nail, pencil, masking tape central cardboard ring, cardboard box, Panted with acrylics)

B. Because i had time, i made another sculpture out of a painted pencils box, plastic cups and glued clay figurines.

Personal project

A. Choose a theme to work on, develop.

- Anatomy and figure drawing (because I wanted to get better at drawing people).

Works form the other projects ready for assessment.

Semester 2

Self directed project

A. Choose a theme to work on, develop.

- Personification (in connection with previous project Anatomy and figure drawing).

Chess, turning chess pieces into people.

B. Make a final piece of work for the final exhibition.
